ROYAL CARIBBEAN EXPANDS "SHORT CRUISE" ITINERARIES
MIAMI - June 27, 2000 - Royal Caribbean
Cruises will expand "short cruise" product offerings in
the Caribbean next year with new itinerary patterns. For the first time,
Nordic Empress and Monarch of the Seas will sail a series of alternating
four- and five-night Western and Southern Caribbean itineraries
roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale and San Juan, respectively. Majesty of
the Seas and Sovereign of Seas will continue to sail their popular
three- and four-night Bahamas short cruises from Miami and Port
Canaveral, respectively.
"Consumers are looking for variety and choice," " said
Dan Hanrahan, senior vice president, Marketing and Sales, Royal
Caribbean International. "We're committed to maintaining our
leadership position in the Caribbean cruise market by expanding our
product mix to respond to the needs of the marketplace."
